When Friends Come to Visit

We've been so fortunate to have several friends and family members come to visit us in India.  Of course, one of our favorite places in India is Orange County Resort in Kabini.  So, when my high school friend, Anne came to visit in the Fall - We made a trip to Orange County together!

Next time you are trying to do your laundry and your kids are underfoot - Remember you could be sharing the "laundry room" with an Elephant!

The same river water that is used for local laundry washing and bathing elephants - Is the same water these women are collecting for:  cooking, washing, cleaning...drinking?!

Somehow they make something that is truly grueling & back breaking work look so beautiful.

Nearly 20 years ago we graduated high school together....Who would have thought then that we'd be together again and riding on an elephant in India, aye?!

 

I suppose it isn't anything other than "immature" to take a picture of an elephant terd is it?!  Art?  Creative?  Yah, Nah.  Just childish!  Snicker Snicker!  ;0)
